Fibre Optic Testing & Commissioning Training Course

FAS Safe Pass Reaccreditation for PQMS Senior Consultant/Trainer
John Kehoe has recently been reaccredited by FAS as a qualified Safe Pass Tutor. John attended the renewal in Kilkenny and has successfully renewed his qualification for another 2 years. John has delivered over 150 Safe Pass courses throughout the country. Well done John!!
IMPORTANT: RSA Driver CPC Cards for Bus & Truck Drivers
IMPORTANT FOR ALL BUS & TRUCK DRIVERS
As from September 10th 2013, it is a Legal Requirement for all professional Bus Drivers to carry a CPC Card.
As from September 10th 2014, it is a Legal Requirement for all professional Truck Drivers to carry a CPC Card.
News on Driver CPC Cards
ALL Acquired Rights Bus Drivers are due to be issued a Driver Qualification Card by 10th September 2013.
i) Acquired Rights drivers
1. All Acquired Rights Bus Drivers and Dual Drivers (Drivers maintaining Bus & Truck categories and are using Bus category at present) are required to have their training complete by 10th August 2013 to ensure that they will receive their Driver Qualification Card for the 10th September 2013 deadline.
Training completed later may result in a delay in obtaining their Driver Qualification Card.
2. Drivers that have Acquired Rights Bus and Newly Qualified Truck drivers should also complete all their training by 10th August 2013 to ensure that they receive a Dual Driver Qualification Cards by 10th September 2013 deadline, training completed later may result in a delay.
3. All Acquired Rights Truck Drivers and Dual Drivers (Drivers maintaining Bus & Truck categories, but only currently using Truck category) are required to have their training complete by 10th August 2014 to ensure they will receive your Driver Qualification Card for the 10th September 2014 deadline.
Again where training is completed later, it may result in a delay.
4. Drivers that have Acquired Rights Truck and Newly Qualified Bus drivers should also complete all their training by 10th August 2014 to ensure that they receive a Dual Driver Qualification Cards by 10th September 2014 deadline (again to avoid any delay).
ii) Newly Qualified drivers
1. All Newly Qualified Bus or Truck Drivers must complete 5 modules of training within 5 years of attaining the Qualification (one module/day per year). This means that a Newly Qualified Bus driver who attained the qualification on 15th March 2011 should have their 1st module/day of training complete by 14th March 2012 and all 5 modules/days complete by 14th March 2016.
2. All Newly Qualified Bus and Truck Drivers must complete 6 modules of training within 5 years of attaining the Qualification (one module/day per year). This means that a Newly Qualified Bus driver who attained the qualification for Bus on 15th March 2011 and qualification for Truck on 10th December 2012 should have their 1st module/day of training complete by 14th March 2012 and all 6 modules/days complete by 14th March 2016.
